hi, tara! i was just curious, how did you go about making the arm things for your god tier dirk cosplay?
By arm things are you referring to his gloves?
Mine are fingerless gloves! You just need to trace your hand, thumb spread out, down your arm to the length desired. Draw a straight line across the bottom and top openings. If it’s your first time making gloves and are making them out of a woven fabric vs a knit(like mine which are made of the same cotton as my hood so barely stretch) you might want to make them slightly big at first and fit them to your hand after you first sew them to make sure they don’t pull weird or are tight!
Here’s a basic pattern I found to show you the shape, just trace your hand/use your measurements(also for mine I traced along up my thumb more than shown here):

Hope that helps!

3. What was your most technically difficult cosplay to make? Why?
I don’t think I’ve ever really thought ‘wow that was difficult’ when finishing a costume. There tends to be tricky parts in a bunch but I usually have a good grasp on most of my costumes! I guess probably my most challenging for me was Angel Transformation Stocking. Reasons being time, there was A LOT of pieces involved to construct, and since I had to ‘stuff’ for Stocking I was a bit thrown of my my ‘new proportions’ for awhile haha But at the end I think I really pulled through and loved how it came out. Even though it’s not something I typically cosplay I really love Stocking so went for it!

6. Which costume did you have the most fun constructing?
I’d have to say my Volume 6/artbook Loveless Ritsuka and Soubi outfits! While they were a fucking PAIN I also got to spend a lot of time being artistic with them. I looooove Ritsuka and especially this outfit so it was fun to take my time and work on one of my dream cosplays and complete it in a way I liked!

13. Your favorite group cosplay? Why?
Omg I’ve been so lucky to have been part of some awesomely fun groups before with my friends.
My all time favorite group I was in was the Persona 4 Shadow Group from Katsucon 2010! (I was Shadow Naoto) It was great because we literally just ran around the con yelling I AM THE TRUE SELF and being crazies and making awful faces. It meant a lot to all of us at the time because we were unfortunately all very like each of our shadows in certain ways haha and now looking back more than ever it still means a lot to me. Also wacky friends <3
