This group is so near and dear to my heart I have trouble expressing it properly. Everyone in this group is so perfectly cast it’s kind of uncomfortable - to this day I don’t think I’ve ever found a character that I can relate to more than Shadow Yukiko (which is kind of funny because I don’t actually like Yukiko….), and we did the group at a really good time in all of our lives. I still think back on the night we wore these costumes together as one of my happiest memories. I’ve never found cosplay to be so cathartic.

Ah no you posted a whole set??! A blast from the past, I wore these with my friends at Katsu 2010 we had all been obsessed with the Persona 4 game, had cosplayed regular versions at different times and when we discussed doing shadows together we all just sort of fit the characters “true selves” and fears more then we initially realized??
So this just ended up as us cosplaying our issues ok yep.

Doing the group itself was a blast and looking at pictures now just makes me think of fun times from then and also just with these friends even though a lot has changed I’m happy thinking of this time.
It wasn’t an outstanding or complicated cosplay or anything for me but one of the most memorable and meaningful to me.
And ahaha Shadow Naoto it stings me. Cosplaying issues yep.
 

Working my ass off to finish up these for this weekend! I’ll be cosplaying in the afternoon of the days mostly and have some photoshoots planned. I’m also working part time at the Tokyo Rebel/Kinokuniya booth where we’ll be selling Japanese punk and lolita clothes! Can’t wait woooo hope to see some of you guys around!
